DPM's Digital Power System consists of one or more Digital Power Controllers networked to one or more Digital Keypads.  Designed for Marine, RV, and Power Sports markets, several standard products are offered.  OEMs are invited to request custom keypad designs and power controller configurations.  Common features include:

• Robust silicone Digital Keypads communicate with the Digital Power Controller over a noise-immune serial network.
• Digital Power Controllers are wired to the battery through the master switch and breaker to distribute power to the loads.
• Loads are wired to the centrally located power controller minimizing copper wire.
• The Digital Power Controller implements Electronic Circuit Breakers (ECB) to eliminate need for individual circuit breakers for each load.
• Circuit overload/open circuit status is indicated at the keypads.
• Light loads are dimmable and can brighten/dim slowly.
• Battery saver technology can turn off loads in priority fashion to reserve power for starting engine.

Our Digital Power Controllers utilize state-of-the-art Intelligent Power Switches.  The switches are controlled and monitored by leading-edge microcontrollers.  Several standard hardware configurations are offered and OEMs are invited to request custom power controller configurations.  Common features include:

• Noise-immune serial network based on CAN or RS-485 technology.
• NMEA 2000, J1939, Modbus RTU or proprietary serial network protocols.
• Electronic Circuit Breakers (ECB) use false trip reduction technology.
• Light loads are dimmable and can brighten/dim slowly.
• Battery saver technology can turn off loads in priority fashion to reserve power for starting engine.
• Module is reverse-polarity and transient voltage protected.
• Individual outputs are over-current and over-temperature protected.
• Sealed, transportation industry connector systems from Deutsch or Molex.
• Entire module potted in urethane, epoxy, or housed in sealed enclosure.

We have standardized Digital Keypad designs to choose from, yet OEMs are invited to request custom laser etching or entirely new designs to personalize to their applications.  Standard features include:

• Daylight-readable yellow function LEDs automatically dim for nighttime use.
• Red, night-vision-friendly backlight LEDs illuminate white legends for nighttime use.
• Internal Panasonic switches requiring substantial actuation force gives keypad solid feel.
• Thick, silicone rubber keypad has wear-resistant, laser-etched legends and status LED windows.
• Over-coated with UV resistant polyurethane after laser etching.
• Noise-immune serial network based on CAN or RS-485 technology.
• NMEA 2000, J1939, Modbus RTU or proprietary serial network protocols.
• Sealed, transportation industry connector systems from Deutsch or Molex.
• Recommended mounting in optional bezels or recessed mounting surface.
